Out of 180 million,these are the tokens that lay claim to fame in Bharat. Each one of them has a story to ell on how discriminaated he or she felt

In a rare moment of integrity and honestly the Indian government actually commissioned a very senior member of the Bharati judiciary to investigate the condition of Indian Muslims in Bharat. After much ado the seven-member Sachar committee Report, was headed by former Delhi High Court Chief Justice Rajindar Sachar. The other six other members Shri Sayyid Hamid, Dr T.K. Ooman, Shri M.A. Basith, Dr Akhtar Majeed, Dr Abu Saleh Shariff and Dr Rakesh Basant.

The study commissioned by Bharati Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh in March 2005, gathers dust on the bookshelf of the Indian Lok Sabha where it was presented on 30 November 2006. Various efforts to implement the recommendations of the Sacahr report languish in the corridors of power in Delhi. The Sachar report reveals the appalling state of 150 million to 180 million Muslims in India.

It clearly dispalys that in the socio-economic and educational fields the Muslims lack behind because of blatant discrimination. It concluded that the status of Indian Muslims is worse-off than the Dalits and the Adivasis (tribals). In urban areas, the report shows that Muslims mostly live in slums characterized by poor municipal infrastructure. In the rural area they eek out a subsistence level living at par or below with Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Reinstatement of The Chief Justice

Precisely a few years ago, we heard the big News, that the chief justice has been reinstated after a tough fight between the lawyers, public and the administration. We witnessed scuffles amongst groups, and police, and there was a lot of stone throwing, arrests, and baton charge. There were many who claimed the responsibility of the reinstatement even the current government who had to do it reluctantly submitting to the

public pressure, a brutal media campaign, and a constitutional carnage. Once again the

millions were give a hope while we all were on the verge of a civil war (as the media projected it, and the international media blew it that time, most of us has even forgotten all

this due to the current crises), and our enemies were penetrating our borders.

hailed for reinstating the ousted chief justice.

The second paradox was and is, that all this popular struggle was initiated by leading lawyers, constitutional experts media specialists, and politicians (in their case it was purely for political gains) for settling certain matters and not just to restore a man on a seat, however we saw a lot of compromises after the CJ was restored and now the nation

is said to be again in the hands of wrong leadership, and on the verge of constitutional, and political collaps. Including all this, the leading hero of the struggle Barrister Chaudhry

Aitzaz Ahsan, who became very eminent among the revolutionist of the time suddenly got disappeared from the scene (probably due to his relationship with the ruling alliance on one side and the kind of anti-govt. anti-administration relationship with the CJ pro mob on the other). Aitzaz wrote in his article,

”The chief’s reinstatement was finally achieved after another year of struggle spanning countless rallies, sit-ins, protest meetings, and two eventful Long Marches.”

However in short we didn’t witness any popular gains from this popular movement, and the exhausted groups who went their homes with a hope that the Judiciary will challenge the statuesque and the unjustified rule of the corrupt elite, are still waiting for the CJ and his council to take some real action than just hope.

I think we shall reconsider asking questions about this popular movement, seek an analysis of it and its impacts on our perception of democratic norms, expectations from those who led us into it, and those who are responsible to us after sacrificing for them as a Nation, Individual, and activists.

The Movement must not be lost. Let the lawyers and the Nation be together again in Nation building, and creating a better system of check and balances, allowing none to rule over us but to serve the National cause.

The article projects my personal views, and is based on limited knowledge. However as a common citizen these are the questions that always hovers around my mind.

1. What did we achieve of this whole movement?

2. Were the national expectations from these heros of the movement addressed in reality?

3. How can we shape more effectively our future struggles that it bear the fruit we intend and not whatever it produces?

4. How can we effectively communicate our expectations across disfferent pressure groups, state departments,and organisations to promote our national purpose than propmoting third party agenda?

5. How should we react to the future call for such movements?

Twenty Five Days in Pakistan

Inside Pakistan the atmosphere of peace and tranquility reassure you that the political negativism you witness in the western papers and tele media is limited to its fabricators.

 it’s not that I disagree to the devastations caused by the this year floods and the frustrations created in our country men by the prevailing political uncertainty in the region, however I do oppose the misleading stories about our national integrity, honor, and our nationnal hormony.

London: First of all Eid Mubarak to all of my regular visitors and non-regulars, and people who either didn’t had a chance to visit my blog, or deliberately ignored to visit (come on guys you really need to read my post).

 We were hoping the Nation will this time celebrate a One Nation Eid, but like any other Eid this Eid also couldn’t escape from the hands of Mufthi Munib, who solely holds the authority to confirm whether the moon has been sighted or not, even if more than enough people has already seen it communicated their ‘Shahad’a” and has the support of all zonal committees.

One of the famous saying was again on display in media that Pashtun has a separate moon and the rest of the country has theirs, a display of politicizing even the ‘moon sighting’. I think the statement should have been that ’ the whole world has one moon, but Mufthi Munib owns a personal moon which always completes its cycle around the earth a day later than the one seen by the rest of the world’. Surprising isn’t it?

A few year before the same controversy obscured the moon sighting meeting (RHC) when one of the prominent Aalim was about to declare that the moon had been sighted and Mufthi sahib was seen on camera snatching the microphone from the committee member to refrain him from the anouncment. probably all of us has seen Mufthi sahib taking the matter in his hand declaring the committee as a kitchen cabinet where one NO is powerful than 10 YES.

I think a dignified man would prefer to step down from the chairmanship considering the every time controversy fatal for his career….but Bili Ke Gale Me Ghenti Kon Bandhe Gaa?

 The unfortunate thing is that none of us realize this fact due to our promptness to the apparent opposition and our ignorance of the secret submission of many who oppose us in the first place. The story with the wind of change in Pakistan is something like this. The wind of change is always strong when it starts blowing but it may not sweep everything in the first blow; change also needs to absorb and feel the strength of the resistance offered in its way; so that it can re-muster its potential and reassure its existence. Our national struggle has suffered a lot such resistance yet it grows stronger every year and has always shown us silver lining in the dark clouds created through anti-Pakistani media. We shall realize that we are not the only nation suffering from weaknesses and that we definitely are a nation recovering from the wounds of history. The major element that will play a crucial role in our success is sticking to the bright side while on the way to our total recovery. And indeed one day we all will witness that the price we paid and the opposition we suffered wasn’t a vain attempt..

The fabricated uncertainty about our norms

The main stream media has always created uncertainty for the nation in order to achieve its short term goals while serving an undefined purpose. Indeed we cannot ignore the important role of media; however we shall not let media become a major influence on us particularly the portion of media that influences our cultural values and tries to redefine our cultural boundaries. Otherwise one day we will remain nothing but the Xerox copies of cultures to whom we don’t even belong, we will start taking pride in things immoral to our original code, and we will start denouncing our own cultures…

Uncertainty, reaction expected and over reaction

It is quite common that when in hot waters one disparately looks for good news and comforting literature however one must be aware of the poisonous dagger hidden in the sweet words of the writer. It has been a common finding with a major portion of our society that when bombarded with cheap electronic and print media, specially news that has promoted uncertainty amongst our nation, most of us lost our hopes and showed very strange attitude towards our national institutions and different circumstances that prevailed. The most affected of our nation was our youth influenced on one side by the extremist elements and on the other side over taken by the secular preachers, leaving them uncertain and confused with their original identity and national manifesto…

The question arises what should be our plan and how should we react in such extreme circumstances in future.

The Dilemma of our perception of Democracy and its Norms

In an ignorant world, Democracy means a License to say foolish things whenever one wants to say, a license to degrade others while one thinks one has acquired freedom of speech, and a license to torch others’ properties while one think one shall enjoy equal rights.

However in the minds of learned and wise democracy is the tool invented for the people who use their intellect before they act, utter, or even light a candle. The issue is not with acquiring or snatching ones rights, the issue is what duties are bundled with the package of rights one has acquired and snatched and whether one is in a position to respect and perform those duties. Let’s not forget that those duties are the rights of someone standing nearby you.

One thing more when these rights acquired and these duties performed belong to the nation and state exclusively the phenomenon is known as Patriotism.

to resolve all outstanding issues and handover all wanted criminals to Pakistan

“There is no point is just talking to Bharat (aka India)–that has been going on for six decades. If Bharat is interested in any meaningful discussions it should resolve Sir Creek, and Siachin immediately, stop cross border support for the TTP and the BLA, banning the terror groups Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal, and the RSS and those types of organization, handing over Colonel Prohit, Mr. Adhvani and Mr. Thackery who are wanted for crimes in Pakistan and Bharat should immediately cease pogroms against Muslims in Mumbai and Gujerat. These would be good Confidence building measures for starters.”

Pakistan may use the following useful cards;

1. Her links to the Central Asia and EU through roads and rail.

2.Her new pipeline projects with Iran and future pipeline projects with China.

3.Her strategic participation and membership in ECO, SCO, and other South Asian Countries

4.Her future strategic role in the development of Afghanistan

5.Her brotherly relations with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and the future prospects in the region.

Pakistan shall not let India benefit from any opportunities unless She commits herself to the resolution of all the above issues, and must not fell to the stall and irrational excuses of India.
